    Moocowmoo's Magic Masternode Maker

@splawik21 He was notifying me about one of my nodes. Not sure how you missed that. @tungfa Not sure how you missed that either. I'll tell you the same thing I'm finding I'm having to tell myself more and more lately: "Don't rush to error." Appreciate your intent guys, but that's a public...

    Moocowmoo's Magic Masternode Maker

Hello Everybody! Sorry about the delay! I'd intended to have Monday and Tuesday to get everything ready, but my wife's been bedridden this week with the flu so I've been on double daddy duty. Gridlocked school commutes bookending non-stop babysitting. My seven month old just started crawling...

Can't get dash from paper wallet into Jaxx

Putting text in bold doesn't make it truer. I see a lot of claims and zero data to back it up. Provide real data or I can't do anything for you.

Can't get dash from paper wallet into Jaxx

I installed version 1.3.7, one of the oldest github releases, and didn't find anything to suggest anybody's f'ed as you say. You may not be able to import those keys into jaxx, but they're the exception. Those keys work everywhere else.

    Moocowmoo's Magic Masternode Maker

When you start a masternode, you're announcing a few things. One of which is the ip address. Somehow you managed to plug in an ip address that is not your masternode. So, when nodes tried to talk to the node you're hosting with me, their pleas for pings were being sent somewhere else. Change...

dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

You need to install sentinel if you're running a masternode. A piece of documentation I keep meaning to add. ./dashman install sentinel will fix you right up. I'll make a note to check for sentinel on an enabled masternode before trying the tests. Let me know if this doesn't fix things!

Yes, you're not going crazy, dash blocks are 2.625 minutes apart! Thank you for taking the time to check the math! I appreciate you taking the time to look at the details! @strophy notified me of an error in one of my documents that had been there for over a year because nobody had checked...

Why dashnode or insight sometimes is down

If dash is up, then down. Check free ram and swap. Sounds like it's running out of memory, but I'm just guessing. What does free -m output show?

    Invalid Masternode Status, cannot continue.

update dashman to fix that: `dashman sync status` combines getting the latest github changes and running the status command.

    false antivirus notifications DashCore wallet

It's rude and presumptive to insinuate our security has been compromised over a single, easily explainable false positive. I appreciate that English doesn't appear to be your first language, but since you're new here, maybe ask questions next time instead of posting outright lies and...

    false antivirus notifications DashCore wallet

maybe update your original post to reflect your now-better understanding of the nature of the false positive? I don't mind ignorance and panic, but please don't leave invalid assumptions lying around as fact. You stand a good chance perpetuating the baseless panic and create confusion. But, I...

    false antivirus notifications DashCore wallet

Categorically a false positive. Earlier bitcoin versions used irc to locate peers. Dash is based on one of these earlier versions. Your antivirus is just noticing the code can talk over irc, a feature replaced by dnsseeds. Will edit above with code snippets once I find the relevant sections.

dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

dashman needed updating to match the new 12.2.2 output. until I release the next update-required version, do dashman sync to pull in the fix. note: you can combine sync with a command like this: dashman sync status or dashman sync update -y

A couple of my shared masternodes didn't get started on the 12.2 network properly and I didn't notice until 8 days ago. These two shared nodes are now in the selection queue. They'll get paid soon. 005 last payment: (18 days, 4 hours ago) queue: 255/4481 (selection pending) 025 last payment...

Is it safe to use dashman to update 12.1 to 12.2?

Hi RGXDK! "didn't work" doesn't tell me what needs fixing, but yes, if dashman didn't do the previous install, it'll usually have trouble with subsequent updates. to pull in any dashman hotfixes before updating do: dashman sync update -y this runs sync on dashman, then runs update, with no...

If the walletgenerator webpage happily processed your wif and showed you a page with that wif appearing on the left side, the problem is with jaxx. I suggest you import that wif into another wallet for the sole purpose of moving the funds into jaxx. And, you're welcome. Sorry you're having...

Yes. I know some users were having issues, but don't know much more than change addresses weren't getting tracked. You're welcome. Best I can tell, there's no rescanning per-se. The server your electrum is pointing to may be the culprit. Try some alternates, might help. Don't regret...

Why only a certain number of masternodes vote for budget proposals?

The key used for voting is a delegated ephemeral authorization to ping and vote. It can't do anything else. If compromised, you just generate a new one, restart the masternode, and recast any votes as needed. The coupling of the delegation and the network announcement means that you'd have to...

    Sweep paper wallet - HEEEELLLLP

Sounds like you need to decrypt the WIF first, then import it. Also, I'm pretty sure there are still bugs with electrum and hardware wallets, so you might want to choose different software to manage the keys on the hardware wallet. You'll want to do this on the machine that has the wallet. Go...

    Masternode shares and voting rights

Well, the earnings will come from coinbase disbursed to network resources, so you've got the right idea. The specifics may end up different, but I think people will provision and install a simple bootstrap agent (I'm thinking something like https://get.docker.com/) which will initialize...

    Masternode shares and voting rights

Part of the reason I don't offer votes for shares, apart from the complexity involved in doing it properly, is the ratio of shared to full nodes is democratically insignificant. Shared masternodes currently comprise less than 1% of the network. I'm hoping to design something on-chain and...
