Not quite. We're working on new features: JoinMarket support (non-masternode mixing) and, after the release, will proceed to DLC implementation with an idea to introduce synthetic assets to Dash and, thus, open in to DeFi ecosystem.

I'd love to widen the scope, but I have difficulties expanding the team: current bull market sucks out qualified developers towards fancier DeFi stuff.

Most likely the reason of your error was different derivation path that ledger uses. This is taken into account when you plug your device, so you've discovered it all :) Meanwhile, if your usecase is to create a watch-only wallet, just use your xpub and correct derivation path for ledger.
