Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Alright. We'd also be happy to refund your DASH. Either $2 at the current rate, or if you tell us your name we can find the transaction and send the exact amount you paid.

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

From my reading that proposal is more complementary. There are a few components there that could help to simplify our backend. I don't really want ot make specific comments on other proposals, but I can't see to much harm in giving users more choice.

Just PM us your info and we'll get it sorted. We sent out all the orders we received (and know of at least two who have received them). Might have got lost in the mail somewhere.

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

As some people may have noticed our budget proposal has been voted down to -9%. this was the result of one masternode owner with approximately 360 masternodes switching their 'yes' votes to 'no' votes therefore reducing net votes by 720. We don't know who this is and haven't had any...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Daily might be a bit frequent, but we're certainly going to be posting updates. Over the last couple of days we've just been further nailing down what we are going to prioritise in the initial build, and engaging some freelancers to work so specific aspects. There'll be a blog post soon.

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

We're a bit disappointed with being voted back under again, but we're confident of winning enough support back by the next superblock. In the next few days we will hav

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

We believe that what we are building aligns with the goals of Dash business development, and that this is clearly shown in the quote from Daniel Diaz (head of Dash business development).

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Hi masternode, I think you are a bit confused about what we are trying to build. We are trying to build something that would be almost functionally identical to the Coinbase, Bitpay and Stripe(Bitcoin element) API’s but for dash. It would let merchants(Ecommerce stores and the like) easily...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

We can certainly understand the desire to have the best most experienced people working on Dash. So far though nobody else has put there hands up to work on this essential project. We believe that we have made a good offer to the Dash community, and would appreciate any support. We can play...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Thanks for you support Tante. Agree with everything you posted. There seem to be a few people out there with control of several hundred masternodes, which gives them a lot of power over proposals that don't have massive support (Budget System V2 can fix this with vote locking) like salary for...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Essentially we propose to build a Dash to Fiat payment processor similar to Bitpay. We hope to launch an alpha in 2 - 3 months containing the core functionality (integration via API, Dash to Fiat (likely only USD at first), deposits to merchant bank accounts), and expand the feature set from...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Here is an article about that seed funding you are referring to. When they received that $500k they had already been established for almost 2 years (founded May 2011, received $500k January 2013). We're new to operating businesses in this space, but we have substantial knowledge (involved...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

What makes you say that? I'd wager that Bitpay is a larger payment processor than Coinbase. We are only looking to replicate the payment processor aspect of Coinbase, not their market maker and exchange services.

We will be following all the appropriate regulations. We expect to use a third party who specialises in confirming identities for AML/KYC purposes.

Budget Proposal: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

In this upcoming budget cycle 3 proposals (totalling 2,868 DASH) will receive their final payment. Even if we miss out this month we should see or proposal include in the next two.

Budget Proposal: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

The existing banking system is complex (that's why we support Dash!). BitPay supports 8 fiat currencies (USD, AUD, NZD, EUR, CAD, GBP, MXN, ZAR). Having accounts is different countries will help to make transactions faster, and avoid expensive foreign transfer fees. The time it takes for a...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Absolutely. EUR won't be far behind. USD is the most important for us, and AUD/NZD are the easiest for us.
  29. DartPayments

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

We aim to support all major currencies, but USD, AUD, and NZD will likely be the first 3. LocalBitcoins.com is for trading fiat for BTC between two parties. We are building a payment processor with instant fiat conversion.

Budget Proposal: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Interesting. I was going off dashvotetracker.com when it said 7,450. Just after the proposal went live I noticed the discrepancy between the dashvotetracker.com number and the dashwhale.org number. Will the amount in the budget move up or down with the fluctuations in the mining reward, or is...

Budget Proposal: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Thanks TaoOfSatoshi Votes are looking goo with 97.4% currently in favour (highest of all active proposals). Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

It's an interesting idea, but we would prefer to keep it all within Dash (partly to show the power and versatility of the budget system). Perhaps something for the future.

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

We need bank accounts in the countries we wish to operate in so that fiat payments can be made to the merchant bank accounts. Bitcoin companies have had great difficulty maintain banking relationships even though their businesses are legal (some might call it a grey area) in most jurisdictions...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

Good questions. When our system registers that a payment has been made we will automatically sell that amount of Dash on an exchange for BTC, and then automatically sell the BTC for fiat currency. In the future when there are better Dash o fiat exchanges we can skip the BTC step. Our demo at...

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Dash to Fiat Payment Processor

I think I mostly answered this above (quoted below), but feel free to ask more questions. Failure is certainly a possible outcome. One we hope not to encounter, but one which we are not immune from.
