Am doing this out of curiosity because it seems the dash team will need to prioritise work as it comes along. I just wish we could make these kind of "big picture" decisions without having to vote proposals one at a time.

I'm also having to group things because it won't let me create enough options. Sorry if I've missed a category.

I think DASH will face very nasty resistance in the way of adoption by taking the normal route, the way other coins did.

There is a reason why established exchanges like Kraken refuse to add DASH. It's because of the built-in anonymity. They think the risk reward ratio for adding DASH isn't worth it. I believe this is the reason why Bitfinex removed DASH. It wasn't the profit or the volume or anything like that. It was because of the risk associated with not being fully AML/KYC compliant. These exchanges don't want to risk being shut down just because of DASH. They have too much at stake since the bulk of their profits is derived from other cryptocurrencies.

Pushing it to merchants would be a great way to do it and hopefully fully decentralized exchanges that trade fiat pegged coins will replace centralized exchanges like Bitstamp or Kraken, so I guess taking the route of getting some merchant adoption would be a good idea, regardless of the area. Doesn't matter if it's food, sex or bible stores.

I also think a push should be made towards getting DASH adopted by political activist groups, where receiving donations is dangerous and a big issue. This is a real big issue in some parts of the world. These groups would benefit a lot from DASH. We should also target privacy activists in particular. This in turn will have a snowball effect in other areas like merchant adoption.

*you should add political activism to the poll. It's probably the best way forward at this point aside from merchant adoption.

Dash is clearly a good choice for activism. However, I'm kind of glad no one is voting for it because at this stage it would be a shame to be stigmatised that way and then find it impossible to break that perception.

ATMs / Vending / PoS Retail will have all the AML/KYC issues. Gambling / Gaming is not as attractive as being listed in an exchange. A crypto exchange itself is a big casino to many people. So, I think we need a decentralized shapeshift like App on DAPI. Everything else is just meaningless. Please DO NOT make email a requirement for Evolution.

Let's provide anonymity to other coins through our tier-2 network. Let's mix other coins with a DAPI multi-cryptocurrency wallet then screw the AML/KYC compliant for everyone.

Tbh, I think the centralised exchanges have peaked, thankfully.. they're being decentralised with the likes of Block & Chains Decentralized Exchange.

As for carrying other coins over the dash network, I think that's entirely possible. It's easy to imagine bitcoin and visa going through the dash pipes.

I wonder if we can make decentralized betting or decentralized lottery like what we did with decentralized governance, we would changed multi-billion dollars gambling industry.

I voted for
ATMs / Vending / PoS Retail, because we are in a transition stage and "easy translation" from fiat to DASH should be priority while fiat is still important to most people;
Remittance / Travel / Tourism, in order to encourage the perception that fiat exchanging in international trips is "so 20th century"

I agree Dash should focus on the atm/pos (user experience) and be careful to not spread itself too thin (there is a lot going on with Evolution). Once that is out the way, I think its time to revisit the logo/branding/ui for Dash as its too aggressive/masculine for the audience its now aiming for. If users can choose to signup and login to a web wallet, then we need to look at what Circle/Google/FB are doing and see how we can apply some of those design cues.

I don't know how the Dash team picked potential candidates before, but I would highly recommend Behance. Yes, good ones will be expensive...but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I like the loading Dash idea by Craig Grant, people not in the crypto scene need to acquire Dash. So having them load Dash at an amusement park entrance so they can save 10% on items in the park seems like a good idea, not only does the park eliminate credit card fees but the customer gets to experience paying things with their phone and using the new technology.

Also, I just had an idea: We should brand as DASH that is the something from the future, I'd love for the Dash Soda Machine to be used in movies. Think of all the independent films that are being submitted to Sundance Film Festival and other festivals around the world. Have the Dash machines in these movies, someone pulls up with their car, buys some item with their phone. It would instantly create awareness and increase further adoption. At the end of the movie we could have people scan the QR code on the movie screen for them to download the Dash wallet on their phones.

It will be difficult to push DASH ATM/Vending/POS forward with anonymity unless you bring anonymity to every other coin. They can ban DASH ATM/Vending/POS for anonymity but they cannot ban all other coins without inherent anonymity. At the end, you shapeshift from our tier-2 network to some coins that can pass the AML/KYC criteria if they ban DASH ATM/Vending/POS. They will ban DASH if it is anonymous.

Why to call it that way?
DAsh is fully transparent by default and private by choice.

Who would ever ban transparant blockchain?

Gambling and especially gaming are ways to get people to not just use DASH, but to hold onto it. When you use DASH at point of sale, if the seller is merely using it for convenience or to save on fees and NOT to invest in DASH, they will immediately sell it for fiat. On the other hand if DASH is the in-game currency for a game (or a means to gamble), they are more likely to hold DASH and not sell or use it to buy something from someone who will sell.

In some countries like Vietnam and China, gambling is illegal and Dash is only way for them. Beside gambling, digital content also good place for Dash because the payment processors not only take few percents but they usually charges about 30% even 50% of the selling price.

Take a step back, there will NEVER be a moment in time where EVERYONE who is using Dash is using it like this. Sorry to break it to you but people are going to use Dash however they please, thus we should encompass EVERYONE, not just bagholders. I personally love crypto, and also have zero in holdings because i actually spend it all.

So by your logic, should I not be using Dash? If someone only wants to bet, or hold or send money to family, we should embrace all of them, not just the guy whos looking out for our bottom line...

No, I'm just saying there needs to be a reason to have DASH. I'm not saying people should not use it, but if it is going to be digital cash, people hold cash too. In the crypto world it seems many people either just buy and hoard (long term investors), or convert it back to fiat quickly because they are afraid of holding it for more than 2 seconds (merchants who accept Dash, and day-traders). I guess the point I was trying to make is that people should be comfortable holding DASH even if they are not long term investors per se. Gaming and gambling both offer that, and not saying they are the only things.

Oh I totally agree with that, but you want to include as many people as possible, so we shouldn't just focus on the ones who will hold the currency forever, we need traders, consumers, savers, spenders, investors and everything in between.

Thats all I mean. Lets not single out a certain group and forget the rest, otherwise they'll forget about us when another coin comes along to court them. Don't fool yourselves, this is a very political ecosystem. :D
