Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Yeah everybody remember to copy Udjin example EXACTLY so he gets alot of payments!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Just Kidding Udjin.

Actually since you brought this up, is there any docs for the whole run from the command line thing? I am sort of working on a payment module for osCommerce to accept DASH. I want to design it first and then hire some people to write it. I would need to create a payment address per order, etc....so looking for some NOOB docs on getting this layed out.

For task like you mentioned you would need RPC calls and I guess most of them would be the same as for bitcoin https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list
You can also open console in qt-wallet and type "help" to get the list or "help somecommand" to get description (and sometimes examples) on specific somecommand command.

Wondering why you need to write smth at all to accept Dash on osCommerce btw... Have you seen https://www.coinpayments.net/ and their https://www.coinpayments.net/merchant-tools-plugins ?

PS. Btw we are slightly off topic, better start another thread if you want long discussion with everybody on that topic.

I do not have enough rights to start a new thread here. Should I open this up under "Development Projects" or "Support Qeustions"?

Yep, we are in "Official Development News and Information" here so it is for threads starting with official information only. But you can always start under "General discussion" if you don't know where exactly to start. However "Development Tech Discussion" would be the proper one if you really want to make standalone module and not just discuss/search for some existing solution. "Projects" there is for some development that has some notable progress already so it doesn't suit this discussion well now imo.

I want to share a small improvement that I would be happy to see. Could we group the Darksend transaktions (denominations etc) in the QT? Because they become many entries fast and really mess up the transactions list. Bad for the overview. One entry per mixsession, expandable and collapsible. What do you think?

I think grouping like that would be way too much work for this goal.

Something much simpler with the same effect: right now, it's possible to filter transactions by type, e.g. when you select "Darksend Denominate" it only shows transactions of that type. Now imagine a new filter option "Exclude Denominations" (which would show everything BUT the denominations) and make this the default setting when starting the wallet.

Thoughts?

+1 and this should include ALL Darksend mixing transaction types, denoms, collaterals...

Edit: added word mixing.

Didn't know about the filter. I think that could be a good solution too. Maybe hide all that belongs to darksend mixing by default? For quick status we have already Darksend Completion process bar.

+Thats enough for the average user. The denomination details I see as optinonal as coin control for example.

Done, see https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/321 (last commit).

Just asking, is there any chance to get totals to transactions tab, to below transactions table.
And row count would be nice too.

Example:
I want check last month masternode payments, i select last month and mined to see totals.
Or i just want check last month total income and sent out totals.

Total rows: 23 - Total in: 120.00 DASH - Total out: 87.56 DASH

Actually I asked for something like this last year already, see http://jira.darkcoin.qa/browse/DRK-138, but it never got implemented and after a while I completely forgot my request. I'm getting old I guess

Anyway, at one point last December I figured that it's less work to implement my feature-requests myself than pinging eduffield every other day , so I might have a stab at this one as well.

Don't expect results soon as I'll be about half a planet away from my development box next week.

Maybe next weekend...

OK, thanks, no need to rush.

And selected by hand or ALL (default) both would be very nice feature.

EDIT: Added mockup pic.

I like your GUI.
Thanks, that is just rough mockup and reminder to crowning what i have in my mind.
Maybe 'rows' box should be next to 'in' box.
And 'in' can be dark green and 'out' dark red.

Edit: added colors.

hey guys
not sure if anybody posted that already

on Mac the wallet window cuts off the details from the transaction window !!
(does not matter how far I extend the wallet to the right, always cut)

You are the second one with this issue, but I was never able to reproduce it (hey, I even bought a Mac just for tests like this one ).

I think it's Qt loading 'old' settings with a new wallet which got new UI elements.

Could you try to delete your Qt-UI settings (Menu Settings -> Options -> Reset Options) and report back?
