We’ve been very busy at Eralith Studios since November, and we’ve shot a live-action commercial with high-end VFX which is currently undergoing post-production. This latest commercial has been in the works since November of 2017, and we were as disappointed as the rest of the community when Google announced their ban on crypto-related ads.

Our original intention remains the same. We purpose-built this ad to advertise Evolution in key remittance markets when the time was right. We intend to wait patiently, then roll-out localized versions of this ad to key remittance markets, in tandem with the release of a sufficiently mainstream-ready version of the Dash (Evolution) wallet app.

We realize, however, that not everyone in the DAO might find this to be the most prudent course of action, as mainstream Evolution is at least a few months away.

We have a contract with our talent agency that grants 12 months of international usage for the images of our actors once airing starts, barring the payment of renewal fees. (12 months = $19,510) This gives everyone the opportunity to redistribute the ad for an appointed 12-month period. For this reason, we want to be as considered as possible, should the community feel we need to change our strategy. For this reason, we present a poll with 3 strategies:

A: “Run a blitz campaign between May and June on YouTube with broadened messaging, using all 300 Dash for a hard-hitting campaign run.”

The June cut-off has put a time-crunch on localization, as we have to tweak VFX elements for every language. We can achieve this cut-off if we localize for only Hindi, Spanish and Portuguese. We would have to broaden the messaging to market Dash as a whole, rather than mainstream Evolution. However this could prove wasteful as it might result in short-term oversaturation, and the main campaign would end in a month.

B: “Wait for a mainstream Evolution app release and coordinate our campaign to maximize downloads. Employ alternate platforms and/or try to work around Google’s restrictions.”

This is our original approach, sans Google. We want to wait for a relatively mainstream Evolution app release, and explore alternate platforms, in all 7 languages. Alternative platforms include web, in-flight advertisements, and broadcast television. Staying the course is our preferred solution.

C: “Hand-off the commercial and 300 Dash to another DAO-affiliated entity for distribution."

There are other DAO-affiliated marketers who may feel they have the perfect channels already lined up. We would be willing to hand-off our distribution budget to them with the blessing of the DAO. We could possibly place the 300 Dash in escrow with Core until the official wallet app is market-ready.

Looks great from the screenshots! I think waiting for Evo V1 to drop is the best mood. The 300 Dash will hopefully buy a lot more advertising towards the end of the year anyway.

Here it is! This is the pre-Evolution version of Border-Free Love with finalized VFX, including the new logo on our bird! The confirmation of an Evolution release date, will bring multilanguage text translation and voice-overs and a new call-to-action screen at the end.
