Dash branded ATM update thread

A little backstory for those not familiar. In March I submitted a proposal to the treasury to install Dash brand ATMs, it includes reduces rates for Dash users, Dash logos on the exterior and usage reports to determine the volume of Dash users. The proposal was approved and we've been working quite a few months cultivating a relationship with one of the biggest companies in Europe.

While the original proposal was to place an ATM in downtown Lyon, we discussed other locations as a fallback during the process. Lyon didn't work out for now, but our relationship with the company that can make that happen did. We now have a contract with Unibail Rodamco, Europes largest owner of shopping centers.

"Unibail-Rodamco is Europe's leading listed commercial property company
specialised in shopping centres in European capital cities, in offices in Paris and in Convention & Exhibition centres in Paris. The Group's portfolio was valued at €42.5 billion on June 30, 2017"

Our first machine will be placed in Amstelveen at the Stadshart shopping center. It will be at the main entrance from the parking garage with over 800,000 people walking directly by it per year. We are currently in negotiations with Almere and Den Haag to place machines as well, along with someone I can't disclose for a location in downtown Amsterdam. Lyon and Paris will be assessed by the French teams in January 2018.

I will use this thread to announce new locations and to post usage updates. Cheers!

Both Amstelveen and Almere are confirmed, awaiting final contracts. The Almere machine will be in the city center shopping center at the -1, in front of the Deen grocery store. There are about a half-dozen other retailers there and it gets about 1.3 million footfalls per year.

We have finalized the contract for Amstelveen and Almere. The launch date is scheduled for November 1st at both locations. We will be posting updates when the machines arrive and once they go live! If anyone can convince General Bytes to enable 2 way Dash transactions and get our exchange, Bitstamp to buy and sell Dash, that would help everyone out a lot. As of now, Dash must be bought and sent to a hot wallet to be sold.

I have had the request for selling DASH in since the beginning of the year with General Bytes and trust me they hate me because I bug them all the time. We need more customers asking for two way support. It looks like yesterdays release will now allow for 2 way support frame work for DASH. I did just finish testing this and it is not working for DASH. looks like its just for the coinbase API that now lets LTC sell, but DASH is using dashd even though the sell button is there now you get an error if you try to sell DASH. Bummer

I have been thinking about installing Lamassu software on the General Bytes ATM since its open source. General Bytes seems a little slow to act. Lamassu emailed me and said they added 2 way Dash support with easy install. I just wish they'd either improve the look or lower the price.

Hello, just a little update. There were delays with the manufacturer on delivering the machines. They are ready now but won't ship until Monday due to a Czech holiday. We also had a few articles in the Dutch and French news talking about ATM operators exploiting a loophole in the EU laws. Digital currencies aren't considered currency yet so no proper AML regulations have been set. Some operators are setting very high anonymous transaction limits which invite all kinds of crime. Understandably, this caused some concern to our partners. We were able to set a strict AML/KYC policy that reassured all parties. So we're still going forward with the placement of our first two machines in Amstelveen and Almere.

So we received the first two machines. The delivery driver gave us the wrong ones. They were addressed to our competitor and he has ours. This is a problem since our contract and invoices are by serial number. I haven't heard back from General Bytes yet. Don't know if they will pay to swap machines or redo the contracts. We do not have admin access yet, they haven't given us that.

I hope General Bytes realizes that they have delayed us for over a month and decides to act tomorrow.

A little update, the ATMs are working for BTC and LTC buy only operations. Thanks to the lovely support at General Bytes they do not dispense euros yet and I have to pay $500 to express ship a programming unit from the US. Also, due to the lovely support at General Bytes, we are still struggling to add Dash. We have help on these forums, I hope we can get it worked out in the next few days.

In the meantime, please give me feedback on our graphics. This will go on the front of the machine on the large, flat surface. Love, hate or modify?

Thanks, good advice, we also removed the BTC and LTC symbols as they caused color conflict. I'll have her desaturate in photoshop and we'll upload the next iteration.
