Most people are connected to the internet all of the time and therefore this may not seem like a necessity.

If, for whatever reason, you do not have an internet connection on your phone you would be unable to make a transaction. For example, if you are in a foreign country or are in an area with poor mobile data phone signal.

A solution for this could be to have the mobile Dash wallet display the signed transaction as a QR code that can be scanned by the merchants PoS and forwarded to the network.
