This coin looks rather interesting. Would anyone with the necessary technical knowledge care to do a comparison between DASH and PIVX? My own initial take is that the main difference, from the standpoint of the common user, is that every PIVX transaction will be untraceable and private, whereas for DASH this would be optional. This would make DASH a bit more flexible, although such flexibility might not be needed by those for whom privacy is the main focus. Also, it seems that the method for implementing privacy in PIVX may be a bit more robust than is currently used in DASH...although I am not sure about that, and it also seems that would be able to implement a more robust anonymization in the future, if deemed necessary.

Anyway, I am curious about the thoughts of others on this.
 
I cannot make a full comparison, but basically, PIVX is a Dash clone. Main differences are Proof of Stake and seesaw algorithm to balance the payouts between stakers and masternodes. Looking at privacy features, there is no difference to Dash atm, but there is a plan to implement libzerocoin protocol to improve privacy.
My opinion about it regarding Dash: it looks like it could be an advantage to keep the blockchain traceable in the future, if you target mass adoption and not dark markets.
