Dear Community members,

It is my pleasure to give you a status report of the Dash Core Team activities. Below, you will find our report covering activities performed through the end of August, grouped by the four strategic areas of focus for 2016.

  1. Software Development
    1. Dash core wallet - version 12.x (lead developer: Evan Duffield)
      1. Development of Sentinel and porting current dashd architecture to use Sentinel (as a pre-requisite for Evolution)
      2. On-boarding new developers
    2. Dash Evolution Web-Mobile Platform (lead developer: Andy Freer)
      1. Evo client prototyping & design
      2. Dash.org design & development
      3. On-boarding new developers
    3. Dash wallet for Android - updated features (lead developer: @HashEngineering)
      1. Some users continue to report that the app is crashing after sending a transaction. We were not able to replicate the error, but found a temporary solution based on many user reports. The solution is to turn off Wifi/Networking, then reset the blockchain, then turn Wifi/Networking ON.
      2. An update was made to the wallet that is under testing with no negative feedback on the fixes for encrypted sweeping paper wallets or the problem in #1. This update includes updated translations for 8 languages. Testing will continue until the middle of September before it is published to Google Play.
      3. The dashj Java Library was published to a Maven repository at: https://bintray.com/dash/Dashj/org.dashj. The library allows developers to easily import Dash functionality into their Android or Java applications.
    4. Dash iPhone Wallet (lead developer: Quantum Explorer)
      1. Work on acceptance of the Dash wallet in App Store (we were rejected another time)
      2. Ryan Taylor uses his private channels to clarify the reason and help understand what are conditions of being listed on the Apple's approved crypto-currency list.
    5. Electrum-Dash wallet development (PM: Robert Wiecko; external vendor: Tyler Willis)
      1. Software has been developed and tested on Linux and Windows.
      2. There is a dependency with Dash v.12.1, therefore a release of the new Electrum-Dash version will be in parallel with Dash v.12.1 release.
