How to create Trezor-compatible wallet from standard Electrum-Dash 2.4.1

Hello.

I currently store Dash on a standard Electrum-Dash 2.4.1 wallet. I would like to move them over to my Trezor, but am having difficulty figuring out how to do it.

Whenever I click New/Restore, I choose Create New Wallet, and then Hardware Wallet. With my Trezor plugged into this Windows notebook, the window prompts me to click Next. I do so, but always a popup tells me my Trezor has not been detected; that I will continue in watching only mode; and that I have to install github python trezor.

I google around for the stated installation and download a zip, but that does not help either.

I uninstalled my 2.4.1 wallet once, turned off this computer, reinstalled the same wallet, only to come back to where I started with my same old wallet. I then tried to create a new Trezor-compatible wallet with the same popup telling me I need to bond with a python.

Any help would be greatly appreciated for this first time poster.

Tungfa, thanks for the quick reply. However, I cannot get past the "Select your hardware wallet" window and into the next window where you select Auto Connect. As I said in my original post, I get a popup telling me to install Github Python Trezor. This too is a dead end.

Do I need a new computer?

I'm having the same problem as you are having.

Hi guys,
Here is some investigation results.
That error occurs if the Trezor plugin module fails when importing trezorlib.(https://github.com/dashpay/electrum-dash/blob/master/plugins/trezor.py#L35).
It seems that the users having the problem are on Windows. We've duplicated the problem with both the standalone and installer-based version of Electrum-DASH 2.4.1 (https://github.com/dashpay/electrum-dash/releases/tag/v2.4.1) on Windows 7. The most likely source of the problem is that the Trezor libraries aren't properly situated in the Windows binary.
At the moment flare is working on a new build and we will test it as soon as possible.

Depending on the testing time and results, we will prepare a new release soon or will release the fix together with a next major release of the wallet (expected in 2 weeks). The next release will have MN operations implemented

Looks like I`m gonna wait as well.....

Hello,

Is there any update regarding this? I bought a Trezor solely for Dash but I can't use it because I can't get Electrum to recognise it.

I've followed tungfa's instructions (https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/...electrum-this-should-fix-the-issue-help.8660/) but still no luck.

Cheers,

Chris

There is a pre-release version of Electrum-Dash 2.4.2 available at https://dashpay.atlassian.net/build...fact/JOB1/electrum-dash.exe/electrum-dash.exe

Could you give it a try if this resolves your issue with Trezor?

I'm in the same situation. Flare's link no longer works, though. Running the standalone Electrum client works, and it detects my Trezor fine. If I try to run Electrum-DASH it says it cannot detect it. I tried to install Electrum-DASH in Ubuntu but I was having trouble getting it installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Gosh.
This should be a seamless transition.
Who is it that did not do their homework ?

What transition/homework are you talking about? I provided a pre-release build which link expired. There are still bugs in that version, and as long as i don't feel comfortable releasing it I won't do it.

Here is a the latest pre-release build, use at your own risk (keep your seed save)

I can see you are testing...
transition... imo use of a tool should be flawless... which you are striving for.
Homework... this testing phase is the homework? ...
Perhaps my comment was brash ?
Good luck with your project.
