    Any fellow Anarcho-Capitalists/Voluntaryists?

The socialist dream is that the state handles all social problems so everyone can self actualize. The socialist reality is that there are too many people and there is not enough socialism to go around, so they raid and burn capital in an attempt to achieve the socialist dream. I fear the state...

    The Faucet and contributions

If a faucet makes money it should never run dry. Therefore, I think whoever runs the faucet should add advertising and adjust the payout. Alternatively, someone could create a faucet that attempts to make money.

The instructions should be in the readme. See the following files and follow the directions: README.md INSTALL build-unix.md

How do I update the wallet in Linux?

Download the latest source and recompile. If you have the latest source code, you are probably out of luck. You could try recompiling anyway. EDIT: Make a backup before you start futzing with your wallet! Things happen and you will be sad if you lose your wallet.

Securing darkcoind on a live server?

It looks like people are actually using Raspberry Pis as secure air gap wallets. Pull the ethernet to do offline tasks and power it down when finished. Harder to hack but not impossible.

Master Nodes for non IT guys

It's not linux, but you could read the FreeBSD handbook. It's about 800 pages and after reading it you will have a general idea of what you should study further. =)

Connection to host refused - port 22

Port 22 is SSH. As far as I know, AWS requires certificates to log in. Are your certificates in order?

    Cult of Evan?

Evidently Evan would rather be developing than delegating tasks. This is probably a good call. Delegating takes time and energy. Managing volunteers can be more trouble than it is worth. The reality is that people who can effectively get things done do not work for free. You often wind up...

    Cult of Evan?

Everything takes time and organizing people is hard work. You can not manage people and engineer software at the same. I got paid to do that and did not have the time to properly focus on either task.

wheres an actual good guide for mining? help?

The CPU-Pool Getting Started page worked for me. I'm CPU mining with xcoin-cpuminer on a 4 core tower server and a current generation iMac. I'm not earning a substantial amount of DRK, but I am learning about crypto-currency. Is GPU mining with an onboard graphics chip practical? Wait... no...

Securing darkcoind on a live server?

That makes sense. If Cindy uses certificates to SSH into the system, how worried do we need to be? If someone has the luxury of running a payment server on premises, could it a good idea to only allow root login from the physical console and disable su and sudo? Obviously this makes remote...

Securing darkcoind on a live server?

I found an article that lists strategies for managing hot and cold wallets. The upshot is that it is safe to assume everything in a hot wallet will be lost in a breach. To limit losses, most of your holdings should be kept in a cold wallet that is periodically used to top off the hot wallet...

    How can I contribute?

An important question that sometimes comes up in job interviews- what do you want be doing? After you answer that question, you can develop the skill set to do it.

Securing darkcoind on a live server?

What steps should be taken to secure darkcoind on a live server that needs to send payment? I'm interested in the case of running something like a web app, but I suspect anyone running a masternode will face similar challenges. As far as I can tell, if darkcoind is being used to automatically...

Need Logo for DarkSend and DarkGravityWave

Yes. Logos are supposed to be simple, not intricate works of art. Big companies pay big money for simple logos.
