Debate for: Top 5 countries Dash can become a currency in! (ie. compete with the national currency)

1. Venezuela - population - 30m
2. Sudan - 39m
3. North Korea - 25m
4. Argentina - 43m
5. South Sudan - 12m

Logic for these countries: a) the more volatile the national currency is the more consumers' brains want to switch to a new currency brand b) these 5 countries have the most volatile national currencies per this list-->https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/inflation-rate

i would start checking internet access
i doubt that Southern Sudan / Sudan + Not Korea would have any access for "general" population

Why not a functioning country?

Why not The United Kingdom? The USA? Australia? New Zealand? Israel? Switzerland? Austria? Poland? Italy? Czech Republic? Philippines?

Why this obsession with going as far out to the fringe as possible?

Why focus or care about geographic region at all?

Why not simply make a functioning payments service and help interested vendors set it up, wherever they may be?

HI camosoul : ) -- the consumer's brain in USA, australia, nz, israel, switzerland, austria, poland, italy, czech, philippines, tends to be quite satisfied with their national currency brands. So very little desire being triggered in their brains to switch to a new currency product like Dash!

A "currency" nowadays is a unit of account. Dash is a commodity (it's in finite supply).

As with the gold standard,, Dash could be adopted as a "currency" whereby the Dash price was set at $60 and all other assets denominated in Dash. This would value, for example, the UK GDP at 43 Trillion Dash.

But the Dash price would still be $60 ;)

That is the difference between adopting a "currency" as a unit of account and using some particular commodity as a store of value. So we should be careful what we ask (or "hope") for. It might not deliver the result you think it will.
