DashCore wallet not syncing

I had not opened my DashCore wallet for some time. On all previous occasions, syncing had proceeded without problems, but I have tried to twice in the past 24 hours, including once overnight, and the wallet has not synced. I am currently reindexing blocks on disc. The first time, it stuck with an estimated 6 minutes to go.

Any suggestions?

Are you on latest Dash Core v18.0.1 ?

If not, pls download latest and start with a reindex (-reindex-chainstate or -reindex) if your wallet was lower than v0.13 :

Download from here : https://www.dash.org/downloads/

Be aware that v18.0.1 will do a migration process which can take anywhere from a few minutes to thirty minutes to finish

If you need to do a re-index it is perhaps better to wait 1 day to download v18.0.2 (a hotfix that addresses high memory usage).

I'm still on 0.17.0.3. I'll take your advice and wait for 18.0.2 (I assume that is 0.18.0.2). Is this update process as simple as installing the new version and re-opening DashCore?

For updating from v0.17.0.3 to v18.0.1 you don't need to do a re-index and you can just download v18.0.1
Only for updating from pre v0.13 to v18.0.1 do you need to do a re-index and can you perhaps better wait for the hotfix.

I installed 0.18.01, and it rebuilt the (tx?) database, then started synchronising. I seems to always hang in the same place.
