Put in this light, the sooner a decision (not implementation) is made the better. The poll closes end of december and by my guestimate there is still room for community input afterwards so it's gonna take another few weeks at least.
Edit; Just trying to adjust my expectancy.
Everything is fixable. Just bad timing that the namechange topic intersects with my personal project .
I'd rather see the coin fare well with a given new name then being held back all because it has a (publicly negative sounding) name to it.
Personally, I'm talking about the actual design change(s) in terms of the name and logo wich I derived from darkcoin. For instance, you believe you could still use the name "DarkDice" if the coin takes a new name like "DASH", wich has nothing DARK related in the name anymore? It would require me...
Maybe it would actually be a good idea to post the poll link here? Been reading trough the pages 3 times to discover it's not even posted

I voted against a name change for the sake of sites that already adopted Darkcoin and need to...
I wanted to proof-read the dutch translation but it seems the Dutch section totally disappeared from the forums. Maybe it was intentional due to the lack of Dutchies?
Aside from the weird node restarts there's no problem with the payment system but (I don't mean this in any way as offensive) with the lacking information on (or people's understanding of) how the payout works :)
It depends on a few factors: The number of masternodes vs blocktime and a possible node restart.
Let's say there are ~1440 masternodes and roughly every 2 minutes a block is found. In a worst case scenario your masternode would get paid last, so 1440 x 2 minutes = about 48 hours.
Now add in...
Got a spare (Linux) VPS if anyone could use it for the testnet. Has decent specs, 4gig ram, 4 cores, 150GB disk space,10TB traffic/Month. Send me a PM and I'll drop ya the details :)
Let me ask it in another way. Does the MN rewards increase that's scheduled require a software update by the dev's? If yes, could/would it be applied together with the Instant Transaction update?
Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't the masternode patch a fix that only minimizes the current en prevents future damage? So it comes down the exploited masternode owner himself to update it or not, he can choose to keep it running and maximize his profits (till enough network compliance is met)...
I was too late buying more at .006 and I'm hesitating at the current price.
Small drop happend on cryptsy but price seems healthy indeed, think I'll stick with what I have for now.
I'm curious about the coherence of "dark" coins in terms of support by traders.
BTCD dropped and isn't moving...
Running rig with 2x 7990 wich only pull 600-610watts from the wall.
With the current DRK/BTC exchange rate I would only make back half the money I spend the powerbill (22ct/KWH) but there's no way I'm shutting it down.
Also built some rigs with 280/290x's but they're nearly as power efficient...
