V12 Testing Thread

yidakee and bertlebbert - thanks for voting "yes" to Test7 but I just downvoted it with 28 votes. It should be gone off the list within an hour. And this is how it works on Mainnet also. Let's see if it will be taken off the list.. :)

Code:
16:31:05

mnbudget getinfo Test7

moli - missed some details buried deep in this thread. Mind giving a few bullet points?

How does it go? "x" % of votes gets you off the list after "y" time?

Well... if a proposal gets more "no" votes than "yes" votes, it is downvoted and it gets delisted off, which when you do "mnbudget show", it's not there.

But in what percentage? I remember something about a 10%? I just imagined a "no" spam attack to delist other's proposals by big MN owners. I count 100 active tMN's

.

What I understand is if it has more down votes than up votes, then it's not approved and not going to be paid. I don't think it has a set percentage.

And is there no grace period? I mean, one can submit a proposal, but after will come the "lobby" phase, where you market your idea in hopes to gain exposure and conquer community awareness. If you can simply spam with "no" and unbalance the tendency, that concerns me. I'm sure this can't be the case.

I really don't know. But i think we'll see fairness and clarity by then, i'm sure our devs will explain and i don't think masternode owners would rush in to down vote so quickly.. I'm afraid we might not get their votes as quickly as we'd like... But anyways, I was wrong about "there's no percentage for the down votes".. Here's what Evan explained:

"eduffield[4:56 PM]here's the rule: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/v0.12.0.x/src/masternode-budget.cpp#L1187
So you need 10% of the network in no's at the very least for active removal
eduffield[4:57 PM]then 1 for 1, you need a no per yes it had"

So I guess in order for me to downvote that "Test7" proposal I need at least 32 "no" votes. Working on it to see how it turns out. :)

So now "Test7" proposal has got 32 "no" votes but it still hasn't got the "active removal" status... I guess it needs one or two more votes. (The total number of testnet masternodes is around 104 right now.)

Code:
18:46:40

mnbudget getinfo Test7

Proposal "Test7" got a few more "no" votes, then it got the "active removal" status and now it's gone:

We really need some hash don't we. I've got two blocks so far.

setgenerate true 1

for a single core :p

setgenerate true -1

for all cores

everybody should run at least a single core to assist - it's the least.....

everybody is sleeping, only the crazies are awake to do this...

but i hope there will be a budget for testnet so the mining can be done when nobody is around.

I could go for 62DASH-ish a month to run my 8GPU Miners
[and a bit less when the price rises....]

Very good idea...
